SIMOTICS GP General Purpose Motors
General description
General Purpose motors with aluminum frame are suitable for a wide range of standard drive tasks in the industrial environment. As a result of their especially low weight, they are predestined for pump, fan and compressor applications. However, they are also admirably suited for conveyor technology and lifting equipment.
The proven, for line operation optimized 1LE1 motors are available in the efficiency classes IE1 to IE4. All motors have the same power rating-shaft height-assignment. This means that there are no shaft height jumps – neither for service nor retrofit cases. 1LE1 motors offer a future-proof platform.
In addition to line (DOL) motors, there are two motor lines optimized for variable-speed converter operation. An investment-optimized system comprising SIMOTICS motor (VSD10 line) and SINAMICS converter can be simply selected from the catalog or using the engineering tool – and quickly commissioned using the motor code for predefined converter parameters. The system comprising synchronous-reluctance motor (VSD4000 line) and SINAMICS G120 is the best selection for especially high energy-efficient operation. The synchronous-reluctance technology ensures especially high efficiencies in the partial load range and dynamic performance to achieve high process quality.
What all motor lines have in common: design and architecture of the motors ensure maximum flexibility and minimum associated costs when mounting and installing. Users benefit from integrated lifting eye bolts, mounting feet that can be bolted on, reinforced bearing end shields with optimum mechanical properties and terminal boxes that are easy to access. Not only this, encoders, brakes and separately-driven fans can be easily added. Stocking is also simple due to the low variance of parts enabling motor distributors to quickly respond to customer requirements.
